In Memory of Susan D. Butcher

Obituary

Susan D. Butcher, 61, of Whitesboro, quietly passed on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City.

She was born on March 24, 1960, daughter of Mary Jane Butcher and the late Richard Butcher. She graduated from New Hartford High School in 1978 and attended MVCC, graduating in Advertising.

Susan was a sweet, innocent, caring individual who liked to help people and bring them joy through her artistic talents. She also had a love for animals, and rescued many cats from shelters.

Over the years, she had hobbies, creating gift baskets, pet and people portraits, knitting scarves, and enjoyed card making.

But the one love of her life, was her son Brandon of 19 years. She was very proud of him and cared deeply for him.

She is survived by her son, Brandon; mother, Mary Jane Butcher and her sister, Wendy Butcher. Predeceased by her father, Richard Butcher

The family would like to thank Jane Scott, for all the love, support and care she gave the family. They would also like to thank all the staff at Mount Sinai for special care given to Susan.

The funeral will be on Sunday, September 12, at 3:00 pm at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Calling hours will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm prior to the service.
