My deepest sympathy to Cindy, Diane, Billy, Peb little Stu and all the family. What great times wrestling in your living room and later all the dancing! I have the best video of him dancing at my wedding and would be happy to send a copy if you like. The most awesome western wear and cowboy hat ever! He poked fun at me my entire childhood and my memories make me smile. They just don’t make men like the Murphy boys anymore so fearless and tough. Through the distance I have lost touch but never in my heart! Rest easy Big Stu. “Welchy”

Rick and I are so sorry for your loss. He was an amazing, kind man with a great sense of humor. I was so blessed when I spent time, during my SUNY Cortland internship at Rome Developmental Center with him and his family. His family values is something that I will cherish forever.

To Cindy and the Murphy family. We had the honor of knowing such a special man. He and his wife were such devoted fans to my husband for about 32 years and loved to dance. We became good friends and enjoyed every single min. We spent with them. Stu had a great smile and sense of humor that you could not help but love. He and his wife were a match made in heaven and they showed it. We always enjoyed watching stu face when Cindy sang to him. He will be missed. RIP to our very dear friend Mr. Steward Murphy Sr.

Cindy and the entire Murphy Family. We are so sorry for your loss. The opportunities we had to be in the company of Stu were always enjoyable. Every time anybody ever spoke of him it is always with a smile and fond memories. We are sorry we will not be able to attend the Calling Hours or Services as we are down south for a spell and won't be back in time. Find peace in all the great memories and times spent together. Our prayers are with you all. Love Scott & Barb Brown

I worked with Stu and Jim for several years. We had the best of times doing what we all did best. It was a pleasure to know the whole Murphy family even "Ole Bill" who was a pain at times. Sorry to hear of your loss and sorry that we couldn't be there to celebrate Stu's life he was a great friend and coworker. He will be missed for sure. George & Dottie Cady Fayetteville, NY

We will miss seeing Stu in the winters here in Florida, always knowing when Stu and Cindy got here the rest of the Murphy boys were sure to follow. Stu was a sweet man, that adored his wife, apparent in his mannerisms and just the way he looked at her...devoted and the light of his life. Every person should have what Stu and Cindy shared...dedicated to one another until death did part them. The family indeed loses a great man, and I’m happy that they decided to winter here, as we were privileged to call them our friends. Rest easy Stuart, find a really good bench while you wait to join the ones you left behind. I’m betting there are some fabulous sunsets in heaven.

To Cynthia, Bob and Dick and all the family, my deepest condolences. There are many years of history between the Bannigan and Murphy families. I’m down Stuart’s way in the Ft Myers area. We can understand why he loved it. Mike Bannigan
