Shirley was one of my very best friends. I will truly miss our friendship, but I will always cherish our trips to do our nails and to the casino, which she loved so much. As much as I'm gonna miss you Shirl, I'm so glad your out of pain. Run with the giraffes my friend. I will always love you!

My mother meant the absolute world to me & I truly am lost without her. She taught me everything I know & is the person I would turn to with all of life's questions. My mom always knew the answer to everything. She made the world a happier place. She was the best mom (& grandma) anyone could really ask for. I am so lucky she was mine. My children loved her so much & asked to go see her just about every day. She was my best friend & their best friend too. We miss her so much it hurts.

I feel honored to have worked with Shirley at the New York State School for the Deaf in Rome, NY, for many years. She was truly dedicated to the education of her students and a wonderful colleague and friend.
