Samuel Trevon Harrison, 4th, died unexpectedly on February 16, 2023, at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital, Utica.
He was born September 24, 1993, in Utica, NY, to the late Christine Palmer-Harrison of Utica, NY and to the late Samuel Harrison the 3rd of Harlem, NY. He had three children, Shyara Lackey, Sonya Lackey, and Samuel JayCeon Harrison 5th.
Samuel was a kindhearted person with a bright smile and a contagious laugh that would brighten up any room he walked in. He was an amazing father to his three kids, whom he loved and cherished the most. He was a humble, wonderful, hardworking man, and did everything in his power to make sure his kids and family were taken care of.
Samuel was the type of person you couldn’t forget because of his high spirit and ability to leave an impact on others. In the words of his brother Tevin, Samuel was the type of brother who annoyed you, but you couldn’t help but to love him; throughout all the fights and laughter he had with his sibling he truly was a gift from God, and it was an honor to be his baby brother/twin.
He held multiple jobs throughout his life - Popeyes, Oneida Center, CWS garbage company, Lutheran Home, and Texas Roadhouse.
He leaves behind his sister, Lolita Harris of Utica, NY; his brothers, Travis Palmer, Trevor Palmer, and Tevin Harrison all of Utica, NY; his three children, Shyara Lackey, Sonya Lackey, and Samuel JayCeon Harrison 5th; his girlfriend of six years and mother of his youngest child, Anna Lavair; a host of aunts, uncles, and many cousins; and many friends who he loved and cherished.
He is predeceased by his mother, Christine Harrison Palmer; his father, Samuel Harrison the 3rd; stepfather, David George Bernard; his grandma, Charley Palmer, and his grandfather, Thomas Palmer; and his aunt Patrick Ann Palmer, his uncle Mark Palmer, his uncle Michael Palmer, and uncle big Will Palmer.
Calling hours are on Thursday, March 2 from 11am-1pm at the Arrangements are with Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Service, 1123 Court @ York Sts, Utica, with a service at 1pm. Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery.
