She was born on November 24, 1925, in Ukraine daughter of the late John and Maria Melnyk Paslawskyj. In 1947, Rosalia married Wasyl Rabarsky in Austria and whose long and loving marriage lasted for 66 years until Wasyls death on May 21, 2014. She worked for General Electric Receiver Dept, French Road at one time and retired from Mele Manufacturing.

Rosalia was a member of the St. Volodymyr the Great Ukrainian Catholic Church and at one time a member of its church committee. Rosalia enjoyed working the parish bingo for 30 years with Rev. Bohdan Smyk to raise funds to build the current church on Cottage Pl. She was a member of the Ukrainian American Youth Association auxillary Mother's Club and also a member of the Ukrainian Congress Committee of America. Rosalia also spent many years volunteering her free time in the kitchen during bingo and helping out with the annual parish festival making varenyky and holubchi.

With her free time she enjoyed gardening, embroidering and cooking. Best of all she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren Shanya and Matejko. When they were much younger they would come to Utica and spend a few weeks visiting. They meant the world to her and she often spoke fondly of their shared memories.
