Obituary

Rodney J. Ramseur, 52, of Utica died February 4, 2019 at his home.

Rodney was born March 21, 1966 in Catawba, NC to Tommy Lee Ramseur and Sue Coulter.

Rodney is survived by his, 5 sisters, Ann Williams, Tiffany Jamison, Saquanna Carter, Alicia Walker, and Shannon White. 5 brother in laws; his children, Dishan Murray and Shatia Johnson; his stepchildren: Asia Meyers, Ericah Harris, and Armani Wilson. Son in law Sam Meyers; his grandchildren: Braxton, Brook, Daisha, Dy’Shauna, Mateo, Christopher, Tyler, Isis, and Ann Marie. Rodney leaves behind many cousins, nieces, and nephews who he loved immensely. He is also survived by his special friend, Tane Crump.

Rodney is predeceased by his mother Sue, grandmother Daisy, and nephew Tyresse.

Rodney graduated from MVCC in 2003 with an associates in Electrical Service Engineering. Rodney worked at Caldwell Bennet Inc and Walmart and will be greatly missed. Rodney married Celeste Wilson in 2004 in Niagara Falls, NY.

Rodney enjoyed watching crime stories as well as cooking shows, collecting watches, playing board games, men’s fashions, and traveling to Canadaiqua in the fall. Rodney will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Calling hours are Saturday from 12-2 at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court St., Utica. A service will follow at 2PM .
