Condolences

Dear Joan, Sorry to hear that Pat lost her fight against cancer. Just read about it today. The obit write up was very nice and I valued Pat's encouraging friendship.

The family of Erin Hamlin wishes to express how saddened we were to hear of the NEWS of Pat's passing. We spent countless conversations over many years going over details of her spot-on reporting of Erin's career since the beginning, through the Boonville Herald. Pat kept hunting and asking the right questions until she got it right.
Thank you, Pat, for all of your years on the story. You will be missed.

Worked with Pat for about 20 years at the O-D. She was always professional and always quite a character. My condolences to her family.

I was in touch with Pat on a regular basis, although we met only once in more than 10 years. We eat a small Greek restaurant in New Hartford. It was great. Pat is a classy lady, great person, always upbeat, always full of energy -- and a great writer. She wrote several blockbuster stories for us and she had one or two ideas in the works for 55 PLUS. I knew she had a health issue but I would never imagine she would leave us at such young age.

Pat will be sorely missed by her friends, “The SCOOTS”, especially on our annual Women’s Weekend in the Adirondacks. Who are the SCOOTS you ask? It is a name we gave our group after we stayed at Random Scoots cabin in Keene, NY for several years. Pat was a loyal friend and gifted writer. Pat “Did It Her Way”.
