So sorry to hear of Norris's passing. He was always a gentleman and had a kind soul.
We crossed paths many years ago when he was with the fire department and I was a reporter for WTLB and the Utica Newspapers.
Many years later, he presided over my defensive driving class in New Hartford, making something which was boring, tolerable.
Condolences to all of his family, with the hope that the pain they feel will soon fade.

Dear Dottie and family:

I will miss Norris tremendously. Having worked with him at UFD and serving with him as officers of Local 32 he was a true leader within UFD and the New York State Police and Fire Fighters Association.

My sincere condolences to you in this time of sorrow. My prayers and thoughts will be continually with him. He was a true friend.

It was a pleasure knowing you. For years people would ask if you were my father. I'd always say no, he's one of those "other" Ellinwoods. Then we met and I got to tell you that story myself. You will be missed. Thanks for being a friend...and a distant cousin. Rest in peace.
