I was so sad and shocked to hear of Matt's passing. Matt was always more of a big brother to me than a cousin. Patty will keep you all in my thoughts and prayers.
Goodbye for now, "Big Brother". Until we meet again, rest in peace.
I love you Kim.

Patty, Matthew, Bridget and family,

I got my start in banking working for Matt at the Hayes National Bank branch in New Hartford, as a summer teller in '74 and '75. We had a great team and much fun working together during the early days of our careers. I have such fond memories of those summers. After college, I returned to the bank full time in '76 and I continued to work for Matt in different capacities on and off for the next 20 years. I learned so much from him during that time, and owe much of my future career success to the knowledge I gained while working with him. We did our best to stay in touch while working for different organizations through the years, although I regret that we lost touch over the past decade.

He was proud of his community and very proud of his family and spoke so highly of you all. Please accept my sincerest condolences for your loss!

I had the pleasure and honor of knowing Matt for over 50 years at Marine Midland Bank, his many stellar years in banking and at CABVI. He was not only a great friend, but also a close confidant. I will never forget our time at the New Hartford Legion and at our favorite restaurants. His legacy’s in Banking and CABVI will always be remembered. The new rehabilitation facility for the blind in Utica was completed because of Matt’s leadership and expertise. Having the privilege to have Matt as a close friend has been an inspiration in my life. My sincere condolences to Pat and the entire Bohn family. He will be sorely and forever missed.
