Mary Phurnia Tracy, 86, of New Hartford, passed away on Monday, June 4, 2018, while at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare. She was born on May 18, 1932, in Neenah, WI, a daughter to the late Russell and June Wheeler Quinn.

In 1949, Mary graduated from Proctor High School and later graduated from MVCC. She was the personification of a proud working person and spent many years employed at Mental Health Connections in Rome. Mary was also a longtime member of the New Hartford Methodist Church.

In her free moments, Mary enjoyed painting, bowling and sunny summer days at Lake Moraine. Her skills and talents as a painter of oil portraiture are still being enjoyed by remaining members of her family. Her love for sunflowers followed her in her final days to her new found place of peace.

Mary was intrinsically proud of her Irish Heritage. In her very strong and determined way, she loved and accepted anyone that came into her life. Her lifetime was filled with a care for her loved ones as was evidenced by the care for mother, June, in her final days as well as her love for her husband, John Tracy, during his life, his passing, and the remembrance of him.

Mary is survived by her daughters, Kathy Longden and husband, Jim of Munnsville, Jody Anne Quinn of Baldwinsville, Rondy Camastra and her husband, Joe of Rome and Kimberly Beth Russell of Mt. Juliet, TN; grandchildren, Tricia Kantor and her husband, Josh of Oneida, Jason Faniglula of Westmoreland and Sherianne Camastra of Rome; several great grandchildren; sister, Barbara Mazur; sister-in-law, Clara Quinn and life-long family friend, Shirley Castano. She was predeceased by her brother, Jerome Quinn and brother-in-law, Thomas Mazur.

We cannot come with you,

We will not whisper over you,

We will continue to love you,

So that you may always feel our love.

God Rest Your Beautiful Soul
