Grandma, you are so loved and will be missed. I am forever grateful that we got to have one more conversation with you before you passed. You were a present figure in my life, especially through my teenage years into my adulthood. It's hard for me to imagine that you won't be there when I visit home. I will miss sharing book recommendations with you and chatting about life and politics. I will especially miss the smell of your tomato sauce drifting through the house, a scent that always triggered memories of visiting you in Massapequa Park. We were so looking forward to having you at our wedding next year, but I know that you will be with us in spirit. Thank you for sharing recipes and wisdom with me. Thank you for loving us unconditionally. You will be missed on Brett's Way.

I hope that you are reunited with Mom and catching up on lost time. I know how much you missed her. I love you both so much.
