Thinking of you all today! Wishing we could be with you during this difficult time. As I have said before Marty's smile matched his personality and looking across the street will never be quite the same. It is not the loss of him you will never get over but the life of him and that is a wonderful thing! Virtual hugs and heartfelt prayers are with you! Cheryl and Joe

Dear Mary Carole, Abbie, and Connor
We have no words for you in the loss of your beloved Marty. It doesn’t seem possible such a perfect, happy family is now missing this very special man. Please know we are here for you and we pray you know Marty will be forever with you everywhere.

My sincere sympathy and prays for the family .
I was very fortunate to work along side Marty on the CONMED project in Utica when he worked for George Nole Construction. I was a material supplier for the doors, frames and commercial hardware . It was a pleasure because Marty was a class act and total professional.
Marty, You will be missed by many my friend. REST IN PEACE.

Dear Mary Carole, children and family,

We were so saddened by the news of Marty's death. We haven't seen you in a long time to talk to you. Nothing has been going on at the church since COVID. It's hard to make sense of a young man like Marty passing. God has his plan for all of us. Like you said, he is restful now. Free from any pain or suffering.

God Bless You and your family,

This news is heartbreaking. Marty and I had just recently reconnected after 30+ years (both CBA Class of '83) and we were planning to get together soon. I am so glad that I was able to at least speak to Marty on phone before God brought him home. He was a great man and a great friend. Rest in Peace my friend until we see each other again!

I am very sorry to hear about Marty's passing. My condolences to his family and friends. I graduated with Marty in '83 from CBA and we played hockey together during my 2 years there. He was my center our senior season. What a great guy to have as a teammate, and especially to have as my line mate. He was always upbeat and positive to play with. I remember well that Marty was not a selfish player, and was not concerned with who got the glory - he just wanted to play the game, have fun, and beat Bishop Ludden. Rest in Peace Marty - see you on the rink again someday!

It seems so inadequate to leave a message on a website, but I don't want to miss the opportunity to say how much I loved Marty for all that he was – an honest, kind, loyal, fun-loving, spiritual man who put his family above all else. (He would also want me to say he was great at his job, which he loved. And he was. One of the best.) I am blessed to have known him and I pray for all who loved him that we will see him again. The words of Job 14:14, 15 comfort all of us as we contemplate the finality of death.

"14 If a man dies, can he live again?
I will wait all the days of my compulsory service
Until my relief comes.
15 You will call, and I will answer you.
You will long for the work of your hands."

I thank the entire family for sharing this beautiful man with the world. It is a better place because of him.

Words can not express how truly sorry I am. I know that we were not technically related but after so many Thanksgivings at Uncle Mike and Auntie Helen’s it almost feels like we were. Martin was like the brother Colleen and I never had. He was always so kind and funny. He is part of many memories that I hold close to my heart. I so wish that I do more than say I am sorry. I will never forget Martin . Please know that he along with all of the Griffins will always hold a place in my heart.
With much love and sympathy
