Obituary

Leena Ulahannan, 64, of New Hartford, died suddenly April 9, 2018, at her home.

She was born in Athirampuzha, Kerala, India, and received her Master’s Degree in English. She married Dr. Mathew Ulahannan in 1980 in India.

Leena worked as the office manager for her husband’s medical practice.

She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford and was active locally in the Indian community.

Leena is survived by her husband Dr. Mathew Ulahannan of New Hartford; her son John (Shoma) Ulahannan of Syracuse; her daughter Netha Ulahannan of New York City; her grandchildren Ajay and Aarian; her siblings; Alice John Pulickal, Jose Pandarakalam, Cherian Pandarakalam, Marykutty Madathikunnel, and Aniamma Kurichiyel and many nieces and nephews especially Ancy Davis

The funeral will be Thursday at 5:00 PM at St. John the Evangelist Church, 66 Oxford Rd., New Hartford where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Calling hours will be on Thursday from 2-4 at Friedel, Williams and Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford. Burial will be Friday at Mount Calvary Cemetery, White Plains, NY.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. John the Evangelist Church, New Hartford.
