His outlook on life was an inspiration.

Dear Esther, Stew, Ken, Keith and Lorraine,

Our hearts go out to you upon learning of the tragic loss of your beloved son and brother, Kurt. Although we did not know Kurt well, we have known all of you for many years. We know what a loving, generous and spiritual family Kurt grew up in. In reading here about Kurt, what is most impressive was his adventurous spirit and love of other people, animals and nature. It is clear that his belief in the goodness of people was learned from you, such good and charitable people. For him to be able to make a living as a photographer, no easy feat, he also had to have been extremely artistic and talented. We know you will all miss him terribly and our hope is that your memories of Kurt will comfort you in the coming days.
