Condolences

James, Jackson. Lincoln, and Wilson, my thoughts and prayers go out to all of you at this sad time. Karen was a very special person. We always enjoyed meeting Karen when we went to visit Caitriona in Geneseo, also the day of Caitriona and Ryan’s wedding, she helped Caitriona so much by her matter of fact presence and her guiding hand. I will keep Karen R.I,P. in my daily prayers and also all of you.

I worked in the tech department in New Hartford schools for 9 yrs. No matter how difficult of a day Karen was having whenever I would go into her room she would greet me with a smile and a happy hello. My earliest memory of Karen was when almost all my New Hartford colleagues hadn’t yet married. Lots of them lived in an apartment on Sanger Ave. Her husband James was one of the tenants. That was when I first met Karen. Karen was always happy and fun to be around. The world lost a real treasure.

I last saw Karen in June when I visited her at home. Jackson was out for the summer and she made sure that he got his run in! We shared some laughs and tears chatting about her circumstances. Karen was a realist, with a smile on her face!! I knew that I would soon be moving out of the area and had a strong feeling that it may be the last chance I’d have to sit with her. I’m so glad I did!! I’ll remember you always and forever Karen!

She was an amazing mother and Partner to Jim. She put up a most valiant fight.
