Mrs. Judith McGhee Wenner of New Hartford and Brantingham, NY, passed away peacefully on May 12, 2018 at the age of 85. She was born in Rochester, NY, the daughter of James E. and Grace P. McGhee. She graduated from the Columbia School in Rochester and Wells College, Aurora, NY.

In 1958 she married Frank H. Wenner, Jr. She was active in, and enjoyed, many community endeavors during her life; particularly through her church, New Hartford Presbyterian, the New Hartford Historical Society and the Junior League.

Judith is survived by six children – five sons: Alan Randall (Randy) and Christine Kirkman of Fayetteville, NY; Russell McGhee and Mary McCann Wenner of Windsor, CT; Gary Michael and Holly Tripp Wenner of Glastonbury, CT; James Henry and Amy Edwards Wenner of Syracuse, NY; Brian Scott and Rebecca Green Wenner of DeWitt, NY; and one daughter, Jody Lynn and Keith Pupecki of Leominster, MA. She is also survived by 18 cherished grandchildren: Alice, Stewart and Alexander Wenner of Fayetteville, NY; Maureen, Laura, Matthew and Kathleen Wenner of Windsor, CT; Andrew, Christopher, Richard and Jeffrey Wenner of Glastonbury, CT; Claire, David and Eric Wenner of Syracuse, NY; Jack and Pierce Wenner of DeWitt, NY, Mackenzie and Dylan Pupecki of Leominster, MA. She is also survived by her brother and sister-in-law, James E. and Anne McGhee of Pittsford, NY and sister, Linda McGhee Canham of Fresno, CA. She was pre-deceased by her husband, Frank H. Wenner, Jr; her grandson, Tylor Frank Pupecki; brother, David McGhee and many beloved extended family members. She was also very grateful for the wonderful years she spent at Sunset Wood.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 17th, at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral Home, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford, from 5-8pm. A memorial service will be held on Friday, May 18th at 10 a.m. at New Hartford Presbyterian Church, 45 Genesee St. New Hartford. Interment will follow at approximately 1:30pm at the Brantingham Cemetery in Greig, NY.

In lieu of floral offerings, those interested may consider the Memorial Fund of New Hartford Presbyterian Church, the New Hartford Historical Society, or the Carol Jubenville Scholarship Fund at The Community at Sunset Wood.
