Joan was a wonderful example of a solid Christian woman. I got to know her very well through church. I had her as a secret sister and enjoyed praying for her and leaving her little treats each week. She will be missed very much and I know she was a good and faithful servant. She would give encouraging words and I know our Heavenly Father welcomed her into his house. I will always be able to hear your voice and keep you in my happy memories.

Words cannot express the sadness in our hearts at the passing of our beloved, Christian sister and friend JOAN LAKE. We met Joan over 20 years ago at Hope Alliance Church, where we formed a very close friendship which has endured to this day.
Since then, we have enjoyed our regular Tuesday afternoon Bible Study sessions/visits, and our many discussions about nearly "everything under the sun (Son)! " We remember our 'Subway and Arby's lunches that we shared so many times during our get togethers! (She also loved the occasional sweets we brought over to surprise her with!

Joan was the "REAL THING" when it came to being a follower of Christ!

We have know many throughout the years who have claimed the title of 'Christian', but none could compare to Joan. She was the strength for us and so many others, …a true "Prayer Warrior".

During our own trying times, Joan was always there for us, ready to give us the support we needed. The inspiration for us' with her wonderful words..."keep looking up".

While this is a sorrowful, sad time, we also rejoice in knowing she is with her beloved JESUS! Her suffering is over for eternity.

From now on she is in glory, peace and happiness (Revelation 20:4: "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."). 20:5 " BEHOLD, I MAKE ALL THINGS NEW".
We love you Joan, miss you, and hope for the Blessed Hope of Jesus Christ to be soon.

To my extended family, my deepest condolences on the passing of one of the dearest, sweetest persons I have ever known. Such an open heart, enveloping everyone she came in contact with.
Such good times we had together! Laughing and talking, usually around the table.
And now she is laughing and talking with all those who have gone before around the Heavenly table,, Guest of Honor, relishing the company of her beloved Lord.
To say she’ll be terribly missed is a massive understatement.
My heart suffers along with yours.
