Jeanine F. “Totty” (Cook) Livermore, 90, of Cortland, NY, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, in Utica, NY.

Jeanine was born May 8, 1931 in Cortland NY, the daughter of Francis Cook and Nellie Harrison Cook. A resident of Cortland County for most of her life, she helped raise her family in Cincinnatus, NY. Later in life, she moved back and forth between New York City and Central NY as she worked as an accountant for multiple local and New York City-based firms. She was a talented artist and prolific creator of afghans, quilts, and sweaters that she made for her family. Her crotchet work was highly recognized, winning a blue-ribbon at the New York state fair, and she painted commissioned portraits of several music industry celebrities, including Prince and Tina Turner. Her mischievous sense of humor and quick-wit never left her. She was a cat lover to the end (most recently of Ms. Butterball) and she deeply loved her family.

She is survived by her son, Garth (Chris) of Whitesboro, NY. She also leaves behind 6 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she is also predeceased by her son, Grant Livermore, and daughter Gay Giamei.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jeanine may be made to the Cortland County SPCA (https://cortlandspca.org/donate).
