So sorry to hear the news of Helen's passing. I first came to know Helen when I was a student at Roosevelt School. She taught and was admired by several of my 9 brothers and sisters. Lather, we became colleagues and I enjoyed working with her for several years. Helen's quick wit and strong sense of collegiality made her a pleasure to work with.
Please accept my most sincere condolences.

Mrs. Humphrey was one of my favorite teachers at Roosevelt School. I had her for fourth grade in 1979. I can still remember going to her camp for a field trip and her dachshund. She was a great teacher and a wonderful person! Every student wanted her for fourth grade. My family and I are very sorry for your loss.

My late wife Anita Alessandrini Rodahan was a Teachers Aide. Helen was one of the Teachers she worked with. Anita always said Helen was one of the best people she knew. As Helen was always so kind and caring. She would go the extra mile for her students. Anita would always say that the most important things in life for her were, Russ and her dogs.

Dear Mr. Humphrey, my name is Carolyn Carlone-Faccioli. I was Miss Taylor's student at Roosevelt School, fourth grade in 1956. Then, in 1958, I was your student for sixth grade. I remember that you were married that year and I was happy for you both; as you were my favorite teachers. Mrs. Humphrey was sweet and lovely and Mr. Humphrey was handsome! What a great couple you made. I have many happy memories from Roosevelt School, but Miss Taylor was the best. I wish I knew she was still in the area, I would have liked to tell her, myself.. My deepest sympathies to you for your loss. Sincerely, Carolyn
