Obituary

Emily (Ladd) Gossin, 90, of Lady Lake, Florida, formerly of Utica, N.Y. died on August 5th 2018 in The Villages, Fl.

She was born in West Schuyler, N.Y. the daughter of John M. and Emily Ratcliffe Ladd on June 8, 1928. She graduated from Proctor High School in 1945. She married A. Donald Gossin in Utica on July 24, 1954. He passed away on July 24th 1984 on their 30th wedding anniversary.

Emily was secretary at Brayton Restaurant Supply for 14 years and then as Secretary at John F. Kennedy High School of the Guidance Office for 24 years retiring in 1991. She was a member of West Schuyler Methodist Church and served as Secretary of the Board of Trustees for several years.

She is survived by one beloved son and daughter in law, Donald A. and Christine M. Gossin of The Villages, Fl., one precious grandson Ryan Andrew Gossin of Sanford, FL and several nieces, nephews and cousins

She was predeceased by her brothers John M. Ladd and Joseph W. Ladd and sisters, June L. Biddlecome and Ada (Sis) Meyers.

The funeral will be held on Friday at 11:00 AM West Schuyler United Methodist Church. Interment will be at the West Schuyler Cemetery. Calling hours are on Thursday (today) from 5-8 pm at the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd., New Hartford.
