Dear family of Eli Shaheen,
I am so sorry for your loss. Eli was caring, kind and I remember going to the store years ago. He will be certainly missed. After grieving the initial death, I believe some of us receive "signs" from our loved one and if so, embrace them little as they may be, "coincidental" that they may seem. Love never dies and thank God for memories.

Uncle Eli was the consummate example of a family man filled with kindness and patience. We will all cherish the countless memories and celebrations in their backyard, gardening together, playing golf, and his work at the shoe store. Eli skillfully and tenderly presented us with our first pair of shoes, and we treasure our preserved bronzed ‘first pair’ that remain on our bookshelves today.
True understanding comes from “walking a mile in another’s shoes”. Eli prepared us for all of life’s journeys when he lovingly fitted us to walk every mile in the best shoes available. I think of him often and smile every time I lace up the leather shoes, that I still wear to this day, that he gave me over 35 years ago. All our love to Erika and the entire family. Michael
