In Memory of Edward J. Alli

Obituary

Edward J. Alli, 81, passed away on Monday, May 9, 2022 at his home.

Born in Rome, NY, he was the son of the late Frank and Lena Alli. Ed was also the foster son of the late Raymond and Edith Burdick, Brookfield, NY. He graduated in Syracuse and worked at Utica National Insurance Group, giving 35 years of service. He was a member, director, and president of the 25-year club, and was also co-chair of the company’s children’s Christmas party.

He married Sheila (Damon) Alli in 1963, and was a devoted husband for 57 years. Ed loved the NY Yankees, along with the Syracuse basketball and football teams.

Edward is survived by three brothers, Carl Totera, Frank Alli, and Michael Burdick; two sisters, Joy McMurray and Corrine Murtagh; and many special nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife, Sheila.

Calling hours will be on Monday from 11:00 to 1:00 at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Road, New Hartford. Interment will be private at the Oneida Lake Cemetery in Messengers Bay, Canastota, NY.
