Oh Sally! I am so, so sorry. You and Tom were such a wonderful couple and I know what a big hole his passing must have left in your life. Those moments after Middlebury when our lives touched again, however briefly, were especially rich as I was able to get to know Tom and what a bright, warm and interesting person he was. Wish I could give you a big hug, but know I am thinking about you.

I was so terribly sadden to see Tom's happy smiling picture in our Sunday obituary! It seems like only yesterday y'all moved away from Savannah.
I truly will never forget either of you! You hold a very special place in my heart, and I pray for your wonderful family and you! He was such a sweet, happy, and caring man!

Dear Family,

Having just spoken with Dr. Clark at the production of Hamlet, I was shocked to see he had passed. He was my children's doctor and knew that my son, Shawn, had been traumatized by an adult urologist for surgery and always too off his white coat when examining him. Dr. Clark was one of the few men I knew with integrity and whom I respected totally. I am sorry for your loss.

Saddened to learn of Tom's death via the lovely obit in the Savannah Morning News. He was a lovely and noble man and we have missed having you in Savannah.

We can still enjoy every day your paintings and Tom's frames. And the moose made of scraps that hangs in our kitchen.

Dear Mrs. Clark and Family,

Dr. Clark was the pediatrician for my two children while they were growing up. He was their favorite and they never minded going to see him. He was always so kind and gentle and knowledgeable. He was an excellent doctor. No matter what the problem, he always made things better to my children. I hope that your happy memories together will bring you joy and hope in the future. Dr. Clark will be sadly missed.

Dear Sally,

It is with great sadness David, Mia and I learned of Dr. Clark's passing. I was outside weeding this morning and a passerby stopped to admire "our home" and went on to tell me he had passed. We are so sorry. He was such a wonderful man. We are thankful that we had spent time visiting with both of you over the holidays. We always enjoyed our time together going over the history of 18 Oxford Road. He will be greatly missed. Please take care and know we are thinking of you and your family during this difficult time.

With Love,

David, Elaine and Mia Trevisani

I am so very sorry for your loss. Dr. Clark was my pediatrician from the time I was born in 1966 until I was 18. I was never afraid to go to the doctors because he was always so caring and gentle. As an adult I became a pediatric nurse. While working on Peds at St. Elizabeth one day he came to see a patient and saw my name tag, he looked at my face and said "Jeannie Eberley, your poor mother with all of those twin boys, she was so lucky to get you" I literally welled up right there because he remembered me. He was a truly wonderful man! I hope you don't mind me sharing my story. God Bless you and your family. He is truly a great loss!

Such a lovely commentary on a wonderful man. Dr. Clark was our pediatrician for our four children; he was kind, compassionate, and respectful of a new mom! He taught me many lessons about parenting that I pass on to my own children now becoming parents. Thank you so much for sharing him with us, he will be missed but lessons learned will live on. Your memories will provide you comfort.
Sincerely,

Dear Mrs. Clark and Family,

It was with great sadness that I read of the passing of Dr. Clark. He was more than an exceptional pediatrician, he was a parent's reassuring light and a calming friend to his patients. My four children were lucky enough to be raised with Dr. Clark as their pediatrician.

Years later as my children grew, my daughter Tiffany would apply to medical school. In reading her application papers which included her personal statement as to when and why she decided to apply to medical school it was Dr. Clark that she gave credit to for her inspiration. She had never voiced that out loud, and I was pleasantly surprised. Often children are frightened to go to "the doctors"......not so with Dr. Clark. He would walk into the treatment room to greet his patient with his bow tie and big smile. His love of his profession was obviously contagious.

I am sorry for your loss. It was apparent that Dr. Clark was a beautiful being. It was nice to read where life took you both since his retirement, as we had lost track of him. I thank you for sharing him all those years with my family and our community. I'm sure he will be doing God's work in his transition.
