Obituary

Dorothy Agnes Igoe Muller, of New Hartford, died Sunday, September 11, 2022 at The Grand Rehabilitation and Nursing at Mohawk Valley.

Dorothy was born in Valley Stream, Long Island to Col. E. Harold and Amber Igoe. She graduated from Central High School. She was a Dental Assistant for 8 years; worked in Gimbels Dept Store for 20 years until they went out of business; then went to Liberty Mutual Insurance Company until she retired.

She met and married Burchard Muller, the love of her life. They had two children, daughter, Cathy Albert and her husband, John and was predeceased by her son, John. She is also survived by five grandchildren, Michael Muller, Tony Muller, Jared Albert, Kurt Albert, and Amanda Richard; and two great-grandchildren, Lucian Richard and Arya Albert.

Dorothy was a devoted church member, serving as Deacon and with the Sew & Serves. She also volunteered at Faxton Hospital.

Per Dorothy’s wishes, there will be no visitation. A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, September 21 at 11:00 am at the New Hartford Presbyterian Church, 45 Genesee Street, New Hartford. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are with the Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, New Hartford.
