Don represented me during a very difficult time in my life. He will always be remembered by me for his compassion, his understanding, his support and his gentle way of making me feel he really understood and cared about me and my situation. He felt like a friend as well as a outstanding attorney. I am grateful to have known him.
I send my wishes to his family - they should know he is remembered.

I was just notified today (2-2-21) by the Oneida County Bar Association of the passing of Don Keinz, Esq.

I was very fortunate to begin my legal career as a law clerk and then as an associate attorney practicing and being mentored by Don from 1991 through 1993. Don was a lawyer's lawyer and I can not begin to express how fortunate I was to have him as a teacher in the law, I learned so much from him which has served me well for the 30 years of my practice. First and foremost was integrity and preparation in the practice of law. When I was sworn into Federal Court in Syracuse I will never forget the Hon. Howard Munson (deceased) Chief Judge for the Northern District of New York singling me out during the ceremony stating how fortunate I was to be an attorney working with Don. His practice was civil law and litigation in both state and federal courts and it was extensive and Don was a master at his craft. His nickname given to him by his colleagues was "bulldog". I remember asking an attorney how he got that name and I was told. which was obvious to me, because "once Don sunk his teeth into a case he never let go".
