To the family of David Corr,
As a 25-year resident of New Hartford ............and former next-door neighbor of Dave, I was shocked to learn of his passing .
The many hours we spent together supporting conservation and promoting outdoor sportsmanship in/around central New York and the Adirondacks will never be forgotten. Dave was as much admired as anyone could be!
Tireless efforts were dedicated to promoting such conservation organizations such as: Trout Unlimited and various fish and game clubs. The various fishing trips we shared together were priceless. Many events and outings were shared in the woods and rivers of New York State. Dave and I received our post-secondary education in the Adirondack mountains and continued to educate others of the region's beauty. It is with a heavy heart that we say a "good-bye" to a fellow sportsman and humanitarian. It seems we had lost touch over the last few years due to "geographics", as I now reside in Kingston, Ontario, Canada. Rest easy Dave, and I'll see you "down the trail".
Please allow me to offer my prayers and condolences to the Family of Dave Corr.

How can I pick just one story to share about my Cuz. He was the only one to get away with calling me "Ape". My mother's name was also April - so if she heard him say 'ape' she yelled at him. He'd turn around and apologize, "Sorry, Ape."
I could never get up on waterskies. One summer the Corr boy's made it their mission to get me waterskiing. I don't know how long they tried, but at one point I yelled to the boat, that "if you can get me up on skies a I'll buy you a drink." David yelled back, "If you get up on skies - I'll buy you a bar!" We will pop a cold one tonight and toast a wonderful and loving man.

May I offer our prayers and condolences to the Family and Friends of Dave Corr. The connection that I and many members of the New York State Conservation Council had with Dave was with his work he did for the outdoor sportsmen and conservation. As Representative for Region 6, to the NYS Conservation Fund Advisory Board he was hard working, dedicated, and a sound advocate for the sportsmen and conservation. He was open minded and at the same time spoke strongly for what he believed in. He was considered a friend and we attended several meetings and event together, where our friendship was fostered. Chuck Parker, President, New York State Conservation Council.

I was fortunate to meet Dave when I was with DEC's Division of Law Enforcement when he attended a memorial service I organized for Game Protector Bill Cramer killed in the line of duty in 1927 in Queens, NY. I knew of Dave and the ultimate sacrifice his son Joe made but had not met him until he attended Cramer's service on Long Island. I was immediately impressed by his commitment to law enforcement and conservation and the dignified manner in which he carried himself. After I retired from DEC in 2017 Dave called to ask if I would serve on CFAB. After 40 years with DEC I was reluctant to do so but how could I say no to Dave Corr? His quiet, measured dignified demeanor on the board presented strength and respect that will not be easily replaced. Dave was top shelf and everyone who met him knew it. I am honored to have known him, worked with him, and call him a colleague and friend.
