I had the pleasure of knowing Dan in DeMolay, I recall him showing us how to "fence" one evening. I still recall the thrill of that event.

Worked with him and am a member of the Scottish and York Rite. He put countless hours into the betterment of that organization.

I shall remember him as the gentleman he was. Dan shall be missed.

Its "Dad Clark" to me, and always will be. He was one of the few advisors that in my mind was "Dad. " He was the Utica Dad. Which was completely normal concept in the life of a Masonic youth. I know he and my father were friends. They had that shared sense of duty to country, God and family. I am grateful to have known him.

I just have to share that, when I was just starting out as a new Chapter/Region Sweetheart back in the late 80's/early 90's, I met Dad Clark in my travles to Utica with my father for DeMolay events. I honestly thought Dad Clark ran New York DeMolay. Literally. Ran the whole state. I seriously thought he outranked the Executive Officer & State Chapter Dad. There were no two ways about it, that's just how it was. That's how much respect he had.

He is remembered fondly and sorely missed.
