In Memory of Damian E. Wilson

Obituary

Rome – Damian Erik Wilson, 47, of Rome and formerly of Utica, passed away unexpectedly April 7, 2018, with his family by his side.

He was born November 20, 1970, in Utica, as son of Robert Lee and Linda D. Wilson, and attended Utica schools. On August 15, 2009, he was united in marriage with Gina Richardson in Kirkland. Damian was employed by Arby’s as a cashier, and Mirabito Convenience Stores as a customer service associate, both in Rome.

Damian enjoyed spending time with his family, and also an occasional day of fishing on local lakes.

Survivors include his wife, Gina Richardson-Wilson; children Damian, Jordyn, Ty’Sean, Jesse and Madison; brothers Robert Lee, Jr. of WA, Tajuan Brown of Rochester, and Charles Brown and his wife, Rachel, also of Rochester; sisters Celeste Wilson-Ramseur of Utica, Jessica Wilson of MD, Tanja Garrett and her husband, James, Shavonda Brown and her husband, Virdes, and Lekisha Brown, all of Rochester; his parents, Robert and Yvette Lee; and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Linda D. Wilson in 2015, his maternal grandfather and grandmother, Booker T. and Edna Corrine Hunter Wilson, and his paternal grandfather and grandmother, Charles Edward and Mary Alice Lee.

His funeral will be Friday at 6 p.m. at Friedel, Williams & Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 1123 Court Street, Utica, NY. Calling hours will precede the service, beginning at 3 p.m.
