As sad as I was to go on this site I must admit I got a great big smile just seeing Carol's photo. So beautiful! I did not know Carol in her younger years. I met her just
2 1/2 years ago at Masonic Community Care Center. What struck me first were her snappy blue eyes and great smile. I grew to love Carol and her daughter Linda. We spent time together at Masonic along with my mom. These were special times. I will remember Carol for the sweet and gentle person I came to know the past few years. I feel gratitude for our time together. Rest in peace beautiful lady!

Carole was a very nice person and she did love the villas. Her favorite times, my guess, was when all three girls were there. She would be at the pool with them and just soak up that time. She was always nice to Sue and I. For years we were the dreaded renters but Carole was not one to treat us any differently than anyone else. She knew we were looking to buy a place and was almost like our agent. She knew who was selling and who might be and put in a good word for us. and arranged for us to look at a couple of villas. She was great to Jack and that wasn't always easy. On his nightly walks he had to stop by the dumpster looking for treasures. He had a harder time getting Carole to let him dumpster pick than the aides who walked with him. Love the picture - that is the look and smile that i remember. She was a great lady.

Joyce,
I did not know your mom was born in Utica, NY - my parents lived there for many years. Wouldn't it be so cool if they knew each other. Losing your Mom is so hard so I'm sending extra large Irish hugs. Thinking of you and your family during this sad time and hope you find comfort from stories told by friends and family. With love, Kathi!
