I had the honor and pleasure of meeting and working with Bonnie when I became Medical Director of the Utica VNA . She was a shining star, affable yet passionately committed to ALL the people of the greater Utica community, no matter their situation nor status.
I am grateful having been afforded the opportunity to work with Bonnie in her role as community advocate. Her calm yet determined strength of character,
warm smile and can do attitude was consistent, refreshing and a blessing.

Bonnie was a leader, a mentor, an advocate, a friend and the best boss I’ve ever had. She saw something in me that I didn’t see myself and took a chance on me during a time of great change.

Bonnie had a way of bringing out the best in others and showed a genuine interest in those around her. She always had your back and was true to her word. She set high standards for herself and worked hard to accomplish her goals.

I will always remember her quick wit and sense of humor which were always “directionally accurate”.

Thank you, Bonnie, for putting your trust in me, teaching me to be a leader, setting the bar high and for bringing out the best in me.

Bonnie's family, friends and colleagues!
I’m so sorry to hear of our loss and accompany you in your sentiment. I was Bonnie's peer and then her assistant at Bank of America several years back. We lost touch after I transferred to a new role in Tampa Bay, FL but we had planned to visit in Florida during her travels. Unfortunately, that never happened. My fondest memory of Bonnie will be the days when she came to visit the Providence, RI site and her stopping by my desk to ask me if she had picked the right shoes for her outfit (I love shoes). Why yes, Bonnie; of course you did "those shoes were made for walking" she would smile, look back down at her shoes and happily walk off with her beautiful smile to her upcoming meeting. I will never forget you. Rest peacefully my friend.
Warm regards with sympathy,
Claribel (Clarah) Martinez

Bonnie was a long-time colleague of mine at BofA and Fleet. I have never worked with anyone with quite the combination of utmost professionalism, plain common sense, patience, empathy, and (as we say here in Boston), such a wicked sense of humah! I am devastated, I will miss Bonnie greatly.

To Bonnie’s husband and family,
I am truly saddened to hear of Bonnie’s passing. I have worked with Bonnie for many years. She was a true professional and led by example. Her enthusiasm and passion for her job and everything she did was inspiring. I will miss her humor, our chats, and her leadership. One of the last quotes she shared (author unknown) was: “An inheritance is what you leave with people. A legacy is what you leave in them.”
Bonnie’s legacy will be remembered and she will be missed. May she Rest In Peace.
You are all in my thoughts and prayers. May wonderful memories help you through this sad time.
With deepest sympathy,
Maureen Allam, Providence, RI

I am so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Bonnie 20 years ago at Fleet Bank and she so kind and helpful. I would run into her around town and she always had a smile and friendly word.
