Bonnie Louise Hubbell, 74, of New Hartford, passed away on Thursday November 29th, 2018, at Faxton St. Luke’s Hospital.

Born on March 14, 1944 in Utica, NY, the daughter of Addison and Mary Louise Miller. Bonnie was a 1962 graduate of Utica Free Academy, and graduated from Utica College in 1967 with a degree in English. In 1967 she married Robert O. Hubbell and was the mother of Robert O. Hubbell, Jr. of Albany and Elizabeth B. Hubbell of New Hartford. She was predeceased by her son Andrew M. Hubbell. After her children were born she continued her education with courses in Journalism at Utica College and worked on a Masters in English at Syracuse University.

Creative and motivated, she designed and painted theater sets for the ARC of Oneida Lewis Co. Players Theater, New Hartford Masque and the M. Proctor Theater Guild, and for many years designed and created costumes for the Clinton Figure Skating Club. There was always a new project in the wings.

She was a member of the Utica Ladies Book Club and the Clinton Book Club.

Bonnie enjoyed spending summers at the family camp on Big Moose Lake and was a proud “Jolly Mooser”.

She is survived by her husband Robert, her son Robert Jr. and his wife Deloria, her daughter Elizabeth, and her three cherished granddaughters Ella, Adeline and Hannah Hubbell. She is also survived by her sisters Linda Miller of Fairborn, OH, Kathy Estep of Enon, OH, and Denise Miller Hubbell of New Hartford, NY, her brother Brian Miller of Enon, OH, and many nieces and nephews.

Bonnie’s attitude toward life was “Too much is never enough”.

The funeral will be on Saturday at 10:00 am at Friedel, Williams and Edmunds Funeral and Cremation Services, 13 Oxford Rd. New Hartford. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
