In Memory of Bertha M. Coriale Cataudella

Obituary

Bertha M. Coriale Cataudella, 96, of New Hartford died January 16, 2019 at the Presbyterian Home.

She was born October 21, 1922 in Utica daughter of the late Margaret Heintz and George Zillioux. She was educated in Utica Schools and the St. Luke’s Hospital School of Nursing and was an R.N.

Bertha married Dr. Arthur S. Coriale in 1948 in Utica. He died in 1990. She then married Salvatore S. Cataudella in 1995. He died January 14, 2013.

She worked as a Registered Nurse prior to her children being born and then became a full time homemaker and Mom.

She was a member of the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary and the Mohawk Valley Quilting Club.

Bertha is survived by her children, Bonita C. (Thomas) Figgatt, of Ridgefield, CT, Paula M. Ryan of Albany, Arthur S. Coriale Jr. of Marcy, and Jeffrey A. Coriale of Columbia, MD; her grandchildren Thomas (Elizabeth) Figgatt, Jr., Caroline M. Figgatt, Daniel J. Ryan Jr., Sean P. (Jen) Ryan, Laura M. (Paul) Vargovich, Jacklyn A. (John)Eck, Eric A. (Jennifer) Coriale and Kenneth B. (Kim) Coriale; 11 Great Grandchildren; three step-children and their families; one sister Arline Kelly and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Ralph Zillioux

The family wishes to thank the staff of the Presbyterian Homes for all of their care.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on February 23, 2019 at 10:00 AM at the Church of Our Lady of the Rosary. Entombment will be in Calvary Mausoleum. There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Presbyterian Home Parkinson’s Unit, 4290 Middle Settlement Road, New Hartford, NY 13413.
