Obituary

Bernard “ Bernie, Butch” Leroy Ganzmann age 72 resident of the Mohawk Valley passed away peacefully on 2/14/21.

He was born Mon March 17, 1948 and was the son of the late Robert Sr and Pauline (Decker) Ganzmann. He grew up outside of Ilion and graduated Mohawk Highs school class of 1966. He also Graduated from HCCC.

He worked at the Union Fork and Hoe for many years. He then went for his passion to drive cross country for North American Truck Company. After that he then held several positions throughout the Mohawk valley.

He lived his last few years with the woman he loved, his wife Ellen. When Ellen and Bernard were married in 2019 he said in in vows, he waited for Ellen all of his life and that she was his fantasy who came true to life. He is also survived two daughters Pauline Ganzmann and finance James Hurteau of Frankfort and Erica Janis and her husband Michael Janis of Frankfort. His two grandchildren Brittney Janis and Zackery Janis. His sister Gailyn Dyn of the Mohawk Valley. AS well as Nieces, Nephews, Stepchildren and Grandchildren. His former wife Sharon Tucker.

Besides his parents he was preceded by his sister Roberta Scouten and Robert Ganzmann Jr and his wife Eugena Ganzmann.

He loved the outdoors, hiking, camping, fishing, riding motorcycles and enjoyed showing people different beautiful places he had been. He also enjoyed hand making wooden truck, cars and trains.

The family will honor him at their convenience.
