Uncle Art is the last one of the generation of my mom. He was a wonderful man, who was very close to his sister, Harriet (my mom). He was quiet but had a great sense of humor. I haven't seen Uncle Art in a few years but I've thought of him often. He will be missed.

Art was my manager at the Instruction Books and Parts Catalog unit of General Electric Aerospace Electronic Systems on Broad Street in Utica. In 1968, with an electrical engineering degree but no experience, Art gave me the chance to be a technical writer. I thoroughly enjoyed my nine years working for him, as he was always fair and I always felt comfortable talking with him.
