To all of Alma's family & friends, my husband & I send our deepest condolences.
Alma and her children were a constant part of our lives growing up. Mom & she attended high school together, Canton, and shared a remarkably similar lifestyle raising a large family in NH and supported by St. John the Evangelist clergy & staff. My Dad Walt, Mom & Alma even went camping together one summer on the St. Lawrence, and family get togethers on both sides were shared--usually among 4 or 5 other similar families in New Hartford. Too numerous to count yet a few are: an October lasagna picnic at Moose River ~ 1967; a spoof skit Mom & Alma performed in at
The yearly Harvest Supper; countless marvelous summer stays at Brantiham Lake-- can still smell the delicious Adirondack water & sun- warmed pine needles, & see the adults gathered
in the evening in the lodge's lovely livingroom; Mom & Alma sharing their support of women with new babies, also sharing carpooling to school events; countless sleepovers by each others' kids.
In short Alma and her children remain an integral part of rich, happy childhood memories.
In their elder years and into illnesses, Mom & Alma stayed in touch. Well into her 14 th year of dementia, my Mom said she'd love to see Alma..." Very much so!!" And she did, more than once. Alma & Trudy arranged at least one of these.
May God Bless Alma and her entire family.
Thank you for exceptional memories!
May you all find comfort in knowing how richly & creatively Alma lived.
With deep affection,
Susan (Dusseault) and Francis Walter
